1: What is the Fine Book Gallery?
A: The Fine Book Gallery is a showcase for investment quality books priced over $100.
- Fine Book Gallery ads are "paid premium" Bookmart ads
- Sellers pay a small additional listing fee to include their bookmart ad in
the Fine Book Gallery
- Fine Book Gallery ads must be priced over $100
- Fine Book Gallery ads are also included in the Bookmart (double exposure)
- Fine Book Gallery ads can be auction, fixed price, barter, or linked ads
- Fine Book Gallery ads give your books maximum exposure
- Buyers browse extra-large high resolution images
- Buyers browse the Fine Book Gallery serendipitously - they see all the ads

2: What are the fees?
A: The current Fine Book Gallery listing fee is 25
cents per ad.
3: Can I bulk upload my records from a book inventory program?
A: Yes, but it requires a Patron Level subscription or higher*.
An important consideration is that CollectorsBookMarket is
structurally different from fixed-price book selling sites. The Per Item
listing format is more similar to eBay than to the format at the major fixed
price venues, and there are a few unique fields in our system that enable our
powerful search and browse features. Our simple bulk upload process uses a
"staging area" where sellers can easily edit their listings
to take advantage of our special fields and to upload images (images are
required on all CollectorsBookMarket.com ads). Otherwise, all existing
field content in your inventory system is automatically mapped into the
appropriate fields in our system.
CollectorsBookMarket currently supports uploading from the following programs.
- BookTrakker
- Homebase
- Any program that can export in UIEE format
- Any program that can export in tab-delimited format
- Any program that can export in comma-delimited format
- Inquire about other formats
*Until we can hire more staff, we are restricting bulk
uploads to sellers at the 'Patron' level and above, because each seller who
bulk uploads will have a personal contact person to help build a custom upload
template and to resolve any problems.
4: How do I add my item to the
Fine Book Gallery?
A: On the ad listing form, there is a check box to add your item to the
Fine Book Gallery. The 25 cent listing fee is charged when you submit your
ad.
5: What kind of books qualify
for the Fine Book Gallery?
A: There are only a few restrictions on Fine Book Gallery ads because the
seller is paying to place his ad there. CollectorsBookMarket recognizes
the need to keep the listings relevant to our buyers, however, so book in only
good, fair, or poor condition are discouraged and may be removed. Books
that are significantly overpriced will be removed to keep buyer interest.
Books with covers not suitable for the general public may be removed due to the
extra large cover images.
11: How is CollectorsBookMarket different from other
sites?
A: CollectorsBookMarket is a niche market site built for buyers
and sellers of collectible and investment quality books. Common titles are
discouraged and overpriced or poorly described items are not allowed.
