Bay Area Book Artists is a group of independent artists bound together by a passion for the book arts. The group meets twice monthly. On the first Sunday of each month we meet for four hours for share studio time and for mini-workshops or demonstrations run by members. On the third Thursday of each month we meet to plan events, exchange information and share books in-progress. Since 1995, BABA has presented exhibitions at local galleries and museums. In 2002 BABA members organized the first Book Arts Jam at Foothill College. This event has entertained and educated the public each year since. BABA welcomes new members.

ODDBALL BOOKS entered the Internet book market over 8 years ago when two longtime collectors / readers / investors / packrats merged their stock and over 50 years combined experience in the various fields of collecting to open our Internet store.

Since then we have sold tens of thousands of books, magazines, posters, autographs and other collectibles to customers all over the world.

Being based in Burbank, California provides us with access to authors, actors, celebrities and others, both famous and infamous. This allows us to offer hundreds of in person hand signed autographed items.

Oddball Books store exists only on the Internet. Here in our “cyber shop” you will find a full listing of our current offerings. We update our inventory almost daily, so please check back often!

Just what the world needs: Another blog. Hopefully, it won't be just "another" blog, but one that will have stuff at least one other person will think interesting. First of all, I collect books, and that will be the general gist of this blog. And probably whatever else I think is neat. Don't worry, it usually comes back to books. I collect in several areas: 19th Century Book Trade (especially in the Western US), Bookbinding, Letterpress Printing, Book Collectors, Bibliomysteries, the Modern Library Series (yes, I'm a longtime modernlib.com member), and stuff for work. I work for a big museum, so I have books for there too. I like old museum theory stuff too. Every once in a while I also sell books. What book collector these days doesn't? Anyway, I may occasionally post the more interesting stuff I come across as it goes to ebay.

Optos Books is a resource for art, architecture and design books, with a modernist bent and an eye for the unusual. We offer out-of-print, rare and hard to find books on the history of modern design and the decorative arts. Our focus is on the visual, exploring the roots of modernism in architecture, industrial design, interior design, photography, graphic design (typography, book arts & printing), illustration and modern fine art (with emphasis on the period from Late Victorian to the mid-twentieth century). In addition we offer books on New York City (specifically, ones that are strongly visual in format); illustrated humor (concentrating on illustrators who contributed to the New Yorker Magazine); a category dubbed Odds & Sods (usually smaller tomes, chosen for no other reason than we couldn’t resist!). In addition to our books on design, we list related ephemera and trade catalogs.

We specialize in vintage computing books, manuals, journals, references, documentation and more -- from ENIAC to IBM, from the era of vacuum tubes, to the transistor, to microprocessors; from punched cards to early personal computers.
If you are interested in the history of computing, we invite you to browse our ever-changing inventory. We have books covering many aspects of computer science, engineering and mathematics relating to computation -- including the history of programming, older programming languages, operating systems, information theory, biographies of the companies and people who were computer pioneers, electroacoustic and computer music items, and much more. Most of our items cover the period from the 1930's through the early 1980's, but we have some earlier (and some later!) items.
Whether you are a collector of highspots in the history of computing, or a classic computing hobbyist looking for an original user's manual, or an engineer seeking an older reference book, we invite you to explore our shelves.

Welcome to The Prints & The Paper. Some of our specialties include Agriculture, Transportation (Railroad, Aviation, Nautical), Technical Books, Americana, Art, Photography, Ephemera, First Edition Modern Poetry, and Natural History, but you will find books in many other categories as well.
The Prints & The Paper is a modest, mostly home-based business. It is run, in fact, by ye cataloger, Lee (spousal unit Gary maintains he is the 'fetcher and toter' of the team). My catalog entries often include some wry commentary and humble personal opinions, which some folks find amusing and no doubt others think annoying. Take a look at some of them and judge for yourself!
We're a bit quirky, but never stuffy or elitist. Your questions, queries, and orders will be answered in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner. E-mail inquiries are easiest for us to deal with, but hey -- do what works for you. We are adamant in preserving the ethics and standards of the traditional bookselling trade. Our packing is superior and our shipping is prompt. Our greatest asset is our customers and we try to provide the very best in personal and professional customer service.

Welcome to ReadInk (pronounced like "Dead Ink"), now in our 12th year of putting interesting books into the hands of interested people. We offer an eclectic selection of quality books in a variety of subject areas, and are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (that's you). All orders and inquiries receive courteous, personal attention. We grade conservatively, package fantastically, and ship promptly -- all toward a single goal, that being to add you to our ever-growing list of satisfied customers.
Although I occasionally adopt the so-called "royal We," in fact ReadInk is just Me -- I handle everything from one end of the pipeline to the other: buying, cataloging, customer service, shipping, you name it. Nothing automated here -- just prompt, personal attention to every order. I'm "just a guy" -- but a guy who has loved books all my life (perhaps to excess), and is now very happy to be engaged in the honorable trade of bookselling.

Our Motto: "ReadInk iss goot for you, dollink!" -- Natasha Fatale (ca. 1962)

Opened in 1992 as Center Aisle Books in Holland, Michigan. Old Bag Lady Books is now on-line only!
We specialize in out-of-print, non-fiction books with some nice first edition fiction. We take our customers, books and book selling seriously but believe we should be able to have a little fun with it as well - that is why the logo and website look is casual.
Not all of our books are rare, printed in the 1500s (actually, NONE of our books are printed back then!) but we have a few good ones printed in the 1800s and most of the rest are printed in the 1900s. Some are actually almost new - printed in the 2000s! We sell used, rare, out-of-print books for readers and collectors. We hope to sell some to you!
I follow IOBA guidelines for grading and take great pains to describe the appearance of each book as clearly and accurately as possible.
